Young winemakers, in our greatest wish to connect even more closely, to create and learn together and build strong bonds of friendship, we also share the common mission of all Slovenian winemakers: spreading the culture of wine appreciation.

Mladi organizatorji, povezani prek Vinskega Univerzuma, smo si zadali posebno misijo – na inovativen in drugačen način širiti kulturo uživanja vina, s poudarkom na povezovanju in nauduševanju mladih nad vinskim svetom. Trdno verjamemo, da se mladi z mladimi najbolje poistovetimo in tako ustvarjamo najboljšo sinergijo, kjer se najkvalitetneje pretakajo znanje, prijateljstvo ter ljubezen do kulture uživanja vina in vinskih doživetij nasploh.

This year we will pursue our mission at the Vinski Univerzum 2026 Festival, which will take place on 16 December 2026 at the prestigious Grand Hotel Union in the centre of Ljubljana. At the festival we will not merely present top wines and wine culture at the highest level to young people, as is usual at wine festivals, but will also deepen their knowledge through various educational workshops. Special winemaking and viticulture topics assigned to each winemaker will further allow young people to get to know wine culture in an educational and more personal way.

Vabimo mlade vinarje in vinarke, stare med 18 in vključno 35 let:

• družinske mlade vinarje in vinarje prevzemnike,
• sinove in hčere vinarjev,
• mlade enologe in enologinje,
• lastnike in predstavnike vinskih kleti.

Kako izbiramo vinarje

Our goal is to include winemakers from all three wine regions and nine wine-growing districts. We will therefore allocate the available places using a key that ensures even representation of winemakers from all districts, taking timely applications into account.

Winemakers who turn 35 this year have priority if they apply on time, as this is your milestone year as a winemaker appearing at the festival. At the same time, we as organisers strive to enable all applicants who meet the conditions to take part, and to create an opportunity to spread wine culture and connect.

If more winemakers apply than there are places, those who do not get to take part this year will have absolute priority at the next festival. The condition is that you apply this year. After you submit the application and the application period closes, we will let you know whether you have been selected to take part this year.

Kaj dobijo vsi prijavljeni

Regardless of the selection, all young winemakers who apply will already enjoy exclusive opportunities at this year's festival:

1. The option for 3 people to buy a festival ticket at the presale price.
2. The option to take part in the wine judging, organised this year at the highest level by Prof. Nik Mahnič of the Biotechnical Faculty, University of Ljubljana – Chair of Plant Food Technology and Wine.
3. Možnost udeležbe na druženju in pogostitvi za mlade vinarje po zaključenem festivalu.

Winemakers, winemaking parents, directors of large wineries and supporters over the age of 35: we invite you to connect us with your younger generation. Many of you have been encouraging, helping, advising and teaching us for many years. We are grateful for every bit of encouragement, help, advice and support.

Za vse nas, ki bomo nastopili na festivalu Vinski Univerzum pa zaključna misel: Vinarji smo tisti, ki v največji meri diktiramo kvaliteto festivala. To počnemo prek prezentacije naših vin in blagovne znamke, količino vina, ki jo točimo na degustaciji ter ostalimi vzvodi. Zato apeliramo na vas, da boste mlado publiko pravilno učili in bodrili k najvišjem nivoju uživanja in ravnanja z vinom.
