The Vinski Univerzum festival is a unique event in Slovenia, as it connects young winemakers from all over the country with young people who are just discovering and getting excited about wine culture, which is becoming part of Slovenia's cultural heritage. The festival is dedicated to a concrete goal: raising the culture of wine appreciation among young people. While pursuing this main goal, we also promote Slovenian wines, winemaking and wine culture, and bring together young winemakers and wine lovers, or those who want to become one: experts and young winemakers and grape growers from all over Slovenia. 

What makes the festival special is its concept, as it is the largest educational wine festival, enabling all young winemakers in Slovenia aged 18 to 35 to take part on equal terms. It also aims to involve all study centres in Slovenia in the project on equal terms and in the long run. Our long-term mission is therefore to give priority access to the event to young people up to the age of 30, especially students eager to learn about wine culture.

The project is run by a young and ambitious team of volunteers, young winemakers and wine lovers who, with exceptional dedication, are building a platform to promote Slovenia's wine potential. Through organising the festival, the team also gains valuable experience, broadens its knowledge and builds bridges between the tradition and the future of Slovenian winemaking.
